Honda ’s thinly veiled CR-Z “concept” is attracting most of the attention in the Honda booth at the Tokyo Motor Show, but there is at least one other noteworthy Honda concept at the Tokyo show – the Honda SkyDeck concept.
Although ‘minivan’ doesn’t often come to mind when you think ‘cool concept’, the SkyDeck manages to meld the two. Highlighted by a CR-Z inspired front end, the SkyDeck looks like a version of the Honda Odyssey we could be into.

Other notable features of the SkyDeck concept include its Lamborghini -style scissor front doors, complete with rear doors that pop out before sliding back. Not exactly practical stuff for the soccer field parking lot, but very cool nonetheless.

As the name implies, the SkyDeck has a large glass ceiling, giving the concept a very spacious feel. Although nowhere near production intent, the SkyDeck’s wood accents give a decidedly up-scale feel.

As the SkyDeck is a pure concept at this point, Honda didn’t even bother to release any technical specs. However, the Japanese automaker says the MPV would theoretically be motivated by a hybrid drivetrain.
