TERRIBLE resale value – I highly doubt that.
Compare it a similar GM(Trailblazer) Ford (Explorer) or Chrysler (Durango) model and Im sure you will see that it is higher and costs less over time.
I havent been in the new Pilot yet but I’m sure it will be impressive. I have sat in the Lambda interiors and they are nothing to rave about. The design for the Lambdas comes from mid 90’s Japanese cars

Hey 1115,

I own a 2003 Pilot – bought it used because it is reliable and has TERRIBLE resale value – less than 30% of MSRP (which was good for me buying used of course;)

By the way, go sit in a new Pilot – the cheap plastic interior is a joke – it looks like it rolled off a Chrysler assembly line. The Lambdas from GM have MUCH MUCH better interiors.

I wish to repeat the idea of bringing a 5 door hatchback, or even better a wagon, version of the Civic to the US market. I would be at the dealer tomorrow if one is offered instead of getting a Mazda 3.

Although the Civic hatchback is a cool little car. I saw it in Greece this summer but it doesn’t exist in N. America, does it? Shame, it looks good in a quirky kind of way

All Hondas look like SHIAT, even the wacky-wedge Civic. Not one Honda I would pay money for, not one. I would have bought a TL until the recent redo, despite the front-wheel drive.

I think the Honda looks great, it’s keeping up with 21st century design. I think they should put a hybrid V6 from the accord hybrid onto the pilot and see how it’ll turn out or maybe they will put the future deisel in it.

Ive seen 3 Pilots in person and they look great …along with teh resale and reliability of Honda they have a winner on their hands but it is smart to reduce the larger trucks in favor of Civic and Fit production
USB port or not Honda is having a MUCH easier time than GM Ford and Chryslker on top of having more reliable cars with better resale

we get it. the new pilot is fugly. but you can’t deny honda made a smart move by reducing production of the pilot and odyssey yet not laying anyone off. maintains their rep as a caring company.
