CR-V cost just about as much in Europe today. With a diesel (and I haven’t seen them powered otherwise) it is rather a large CUV for European standards. I saw it primarily in high rent districts.

I think it’s going to be a hit, especially with the 30-35 year olds with a bit of expendable $$$ looking at Subaru hatchbacks and Golf GTis.

What the hell is this thing supposed to be?

There’s absolutely no info on the car except that it’s going to be a hybrid, with much of the work on the car being done in Europe.

For all I know the CR-Z could be a tank…

Yikes! At 1.47 Euros per US$, that’s $36K to $41K!!! For a two-seat hybrid, it better have outstanding performance. In the U.S, for that much they should sell it as an Acura.
