Either way… this system is pointless because it’s going to be in Japan only. It wouldn’t work in the States for several reasons… one of which being the fact that most people would rather steal a Cadillac or a Corvette than some little Honda.

Commodore, I did not name names and there is no need for it: look at the posts and it is all fairly clear. With or without merit there will be bashing of Honda by the crowd who is openly racist: how else one would explain such amount of antipathy. I could understand disdain based on father’s war stories, but the crowd posting on this site is to young to have fathers in WWII. In my opinion (subjective not objective) it is racism.
I saw spelling of “arien” and “aryan” alike and I am not an expert of jail culture or gangs.

AMGoff grow up! we can all go to the NHTSA website and look up the recalls on any manufacturer we feel like. Instead of knocking Honda why not try and persuade your favorite manufacturer to make better cars?

Planet Drive… that’s pretty much it right there. We all have bad batches. There is a large black middle class out there, but only the ultra rich (celebs), and the ghettos and gangs get the attention. The black middle class must not have much media appeal I guess. The crime issue has more to do with class. It’s not a “What’s wrong with those people?” thing. White poverty isn’t as prevelant in big cities as black poverty so we don’t hear of it as much. Either way, lower class areas are going to be prone to more crime.

They aren’t all that way. The one’s know here are a bunch of country guys, all ages. They don’t listen to hardcore rap and putt 22″ wheels on everything and try to act thuggish. They go fishing, they dig muscle cars and have the same interests as we do, I don’t even think of them as black, just friends. The ones that are the n-youknows’s are the one’s that are content wth being a low life piece of crap for the rest of their lives and think they are entitled to everything. They choose to be loud, obnoxious, ebonic, rude, etc. Go to Miami or Ft lauderdale then come here to northern FL, totally different world.

Crime in Japan?? I’ve been to Tokyo twice, walked the streets and alleyways way past midnight drunk and by myself and never did I feel afraid. Japanese society is very orderly and respectfull, so I don’t see the purpose of this system in Japan. I feel more afraid walking a busy street in a small town in the middle of the day here in the US than at night in Tokyo. This car won’t work in Detriot lol, This car won’t let you drive in most major US cities!

autonut – i am not sure if you were asking me “who is accusing them of being racist” or making your own comment. Either way, I was pointing out how racially tense America is so if this technology came to the US, Rev. Wright and Sharpton will be preaching how most of the neighborhoods that Honda designates as “crime filled” in the nav system are majority black or latino and Honda will be accused of being bigots and a national boycott of Honda will be called for which would make 1115 cry endlessly.

By the way, it is “Aryan”, not “Arien”. And yes, insurance companies assign home and car insurance rates based on a variety of factors including what zip code the car is parked at night or the house is located in.
