Honda XGA: S2000 replacement?

03/01/2006, 11:51 AM

By admin

A report in the latest issue of Road and Track indicates Honda’s S2000 replacement will be called XGA. Originally, the magazine reported that the XGA would be a four-door sports car based on the Acura RL. However, sources now suggest the XGA will be a two-door coupe aimed at the likes of the Nissan/Infiniti GT-R. The car reportedly shares some design cues with the Sports 4 Concept. Shown right is an artist’s rendering from the magazine. For a larger shot, you’ll have to pick up the mag.

Looks sweet.

Sounds like DF is jealous. Go back to your GTI mkV and keep telling yourself it’s a great car.

I love the RX-8’s design. And so do car companies, it seems! I’ve seen at least 3 or 4 RX-8 look-alikes recently..

Don’t get me wrong, I think it looks like a cool car, but how is it a replacement for the S2000? The S2000 is a nimble RWD roadster. How is a a bigger, AWD luxury sport coupe a replacement for that? That’s like saying the RX-8 is a replacement for a Miata.

It’s about time honda’s coupes came out of the 90’s and into 2006!! I think that it will be better than any other vehicle on the market. When Honda does something they do it right!

I dont see any RX-8 or crossfire in that, its pure HMC design, its a beefed-up futuristic TL front, all i hope is it doesnt come wit anything less than 400 horses and please some huge brembo cross drilleds
