Hummer, which is still part of General Motors for the time being, says that its 2010 lineup will offer E85 biofuel capability in every model now that the automaker’s best-selling H3 and H3T will be available with a 5.3-liter, E85-ready V8.
“In 2007, Hummer committed to offer a biofuel powertrain in every vehicle by 2010 and follows through on that promise with the addition of a new 300-horsepower, E85 Flex Fuel capable 5.3-liter V8,” said James Taylor, Hummer CEO.

The E85-ready engine will come standard on all Hummer H3 and H3T Alpha models. It’s the same unit found under the hood of a number of other GM products ranging from full-size pickups and SUVs to the H3′s Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon platform mates.

Hummer also says that a trio of new colors, Red Rock Metallic, Silver Stone Metallic and Canyon Metallic, round out the changes for the 2010 H3. Pricing has not changed from 2009 for the base H3, and while it’s up $165 for an H3T, the H3T Alpha will cost $335 less than before.
