Hummer prices 2007 H3x

06/20/2006, 12:47 PM

By admin

Hummer today announced pricing on its 2007 Hummer H3x model. The H3x is based on the “H3 Street” concept vehicle shown at the automotive industry’s annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in November. The $38,065 price includes standard equipment such as full-time electronic four-wheel drive and GM’s award-winning OnStar safety and communication system, plus HUMMER’s premium four-year/50,000-mile warranty plan. For 2007, H3x and H3 both receive a new engine: the Vortec 3.7L I-5 with dual overhead cams and variable valve timing, delivering 242 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 242 lb.-ft. of torque (328 Nm) at 4600 rpm. The H3x is scheduled to arrive in dealerships in August 2006.

When you like the street look don’t you usually do it youself by picking your own aftermarket rims? I’m seriously asking it’s not really my forte.

#3, you’re kidding right? Do you realize how much of the “domestic” brands labor is outside of the country? Unless you like employing Canadians and Mexicans.

Not that there’s anything wrong with Canadians or Mexicans.

Good to see that the goons have voiced their opinions. I like the truck and so does the marketplace. GM has many problems, but the H3 is not one of them. Sales numbers of the H3 are outstanding(so are inventories, but that’s another issue altogether).

#4, who gives a rats-ass about “fashion?” Are you a woman? How many shoes do you own? (probably a closet full).

Just a repeat of an earlier comment three most painful modern vehicles I have ever driven in no particular order.

Series 1 disco
Any R-Class but the R350 is the worst of the two
and the H3 with an automatic. The manual is almost not a POS.

$38,000? Really? Wow. They’re gonna need discounts to move that. Actually, maybe not–Hummer buyers tend to be more concerned with what kind of fashion statement their car makes than its dynamic qualities.

Those who are defending the H3, have you ever driven one of these rigs? They’re reasonably sized, and have an unexpectedly high-quality interior, but a 220 HP five-cylinder engine doesn’t cut it in a 4,700 lb vhicle. Besides the subpar acceleration, the Five just doesn’t feel right in a truck–it has a rubber-band power delivery that hesitates off the line, surges in the midrange, and then quits before 4,500 rpm.

I also don’t see how it’s our “patriotic duty” to support a company that builds an inferior product. By your logic, isn’t it their patriotic duty to build better cars and keep American companies in step with the competition? Why are only consumers held responsible, and not the GM bigwigs making product decisions?

”They’re great trucks with a great ride, a turning radius comparable to a car, but most important they handle excellent. ” They burn gas like gm thinks its not killing the world and that there is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 gallons of gas left.

they burn gas? the gas mileage is comparable to any typical suv and at 20 mpg hwy thats really not too bad. What does the toyota 4-runner get, or the FJ Cruiser? Answer: about 20 mpg hwy. Thats typical millage for ANY vehicle in this segment!

Hummer engineers need to focus on displacement on demand and hybrid fuel systems in order to change their worldwide reputation as gas hogs.
