What a bunch of ignorant import-luvers here. I dont no why you all speak so strongly about one freaken Hummer, its probably better than anything you guys have ever riddin in, ncluding your’re riced out Civic that you think is all great. I feel insulted to live in a country with a bunch of animals like you guys… have fun with your underpowered, boring, pieces crap. But hey it will last forever wont it? Who the hell cares, you know you will just trade it in in three years anyways. Well I hope you guys are happy youre turning this into one of the least respected automotive website in the world, I know I wont be comming here anymore.

they burn gas? the gas mileage is comparable to any typical suv and at 20 mpg hwy thats really not too bad. What does the toyota 4-runner get, or the FJ Cruiser? Answer: about 20 mpg hwy. Thats typical millage for ANY vehicle in this segment!

$38,000? Really? Wow. They’re gonna need discounts to move that. Actually, maybe not–Hummer buyers tend to be more concerned with what kind of fashion statement their car makes than its dynamic qualities.

Those who are defending the H3, have you ever driven one of these rigs? They’re reasonably sized, and have an unexpectedly high-quality interior, but a 220 HP five-cylinder engine doesn’t cut it in a 4,700 lb vhicle. Besides the subpar acceleration, the Five just doesn’t feel right in a truck–it has a rubber-band power delivery that hesitates off the line, surges in the midrange, and then quits before 4,500 rpm.

I also don’t see how it’s our “patriotic duty” to support a company that builds an inferior product. By your logic, isn’t it their patriotic duty to build better cars and keep American companies in step with the competition? Why are only consumers held responsible, and not the GM bigwigs making product decisions?

Just a repeat of an earlier comment three most painful modern vehicles I have ever driven in no particular order.

Series 1 disco
Any R-Class but the R350 is the worst of the two
and the H3 with an automatic. The manual is almost not a POS.

Good to see that the goons have voiced their opinions. I like the truck and so does the marketplace. GM has many problems, but the H3 is not one of them. Sales numbers of the H3 are outstanding(so are inventories, but that’s another issue altogether).

#4, who gives a rats-ass about “fashion?” Are you a woman? How many shoes do you own? (probably a closet full).
