Hyundai will use this week’s Chicago auto show to debut a replacement for its Elantra Touring model. There will be no shortage of Elantra variants in Chicago as Hyundai will also use the show to unveil a two-door version of the popular compact.

Like the current Elantra Touring, the new model will essentially be a rebadged version of the European market Hyundai i30. The Korean automaker unveiled an all-new version of the i30 at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

However, Hyundai will reportedly ditch the Touring nameplate for the latest version of the car. Hyundai will also erase the car’s wagon designation, according to Automotive News.

Instead, Hyundai will market the car as a five-door hatchback version of the Elantra sedan. What difference that will make in the car’s overall sales remains to be seen.

Following its Chicago debut, look for the Elantra Touring replacement to arrive on dealer lots this summer.
