ok ... but does that negate the fact that Hyundai had a 100k warranty before one of the big 3 did?

Tripleonefive, FYI the seats are made by Lear who also makes the Malibu and most GM seats. Also, Hyundai did not invest more money on these seats.

That's Japcrap quality for ya! A comparable car from General Motors wouldn't have these kinds of problems. These shitboxes are designed and built by morons. Trust UAW labor to get the job done right.

Hemi is obviously a racist hick Nascar loving dolt Hyundai is KOREAN ! I guess they are all the same to you huh

I know everyone wants my opinion on this so here it goes
Hyundai makes great cars Their resale is bad but they have high customer retention and are a great less expensive alternative to the Camry and Accord

Hyundai needs to come up with their own design language. They seen to copy old Honda designs inside and out, which is good bc Honda's are great cars but its not original. Hyundai is getting a design theme and it seems that they are strting with the Genesis coupe and the Elantra. That design should carry over to the next Sonata.

I trust Hyundai more than GM bc when Hyundai was making POS's they invested more money and made their cars better and offered a warranty way before the GIANT GM did. Its funny how now Hyundai is smaller yet managed to offer a warranty and make their cars better and GM is still in the process of doing that.

This recall is not NHTSA mandated, it was Hyundais decision

The Sonata is a better choice than the Malibu in my opinion I have to check the resale to see if it is fact.

At least the sensor isn't doing the converse. Imagine the drama if the bag went off everytime some piece of trailer trash like 400SS put one of his little boy-rape victims in the front seat.

It is surprising that so many were sold. And have to give them credit - they handled it well, if in fact they will give loaners for repairs.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just provide the owner with a temporary cushion rather than a rental? Whatever...at least they're taking care of it.
