An automaker mocking Top Gear is not much different than a budding young actress mocking the producer of the smash hit movie that made her career – and despite Megan Fox’s recent demise, Hyundai appears un-phased as they release a series of parodies mocking the popular Top Gear show and its hosts.
Top Gear is well known for three reasons: great videography during their ridiculous vehicle testing, three rather comical hosts, and The Stig. Pulling out all the stops, Hyundai decided not only to mock one or two of those key elements, but all three.
Top Deer
The blatant mocking of Top Gear with Top Deer would likely have been risky enough for most automakers, but not Hyundai. Next, Hyundai took Top Gear’s legendary Stig head-on with “The Stag.”

The commercials were well done and definitely worth a laugh, but the true test of whether or not they will be a success will come when Top Gear decides to review a Hyundai in a future episode.
