Hyundai has announced it will once again partner with Street Concepts at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, presenting a one-off Hyundai Genesis Sedan creation. The 2009 SEMA partnership represents the 8th consecutive year of collaboration between the two companies at the annual Las Vegas event.
In true SEMA fashion the Genesis Sedan will feature carbon fiber roof panels, black chrome accents, upper and lower spoilers, mesh grilles and a piano black and carbon fiber interior. However, the Genesis Sedan will have one truly unique feature – a custom exterior design to be painted live at the SEMA Show.
Using the sedan’s Pearl White paint as a “blank canvasâ€, Street Custom designer Courtney Mason will paint a one-off design on the Genesis Sedan live on the show floor.
“Matching the sophisticated design of the Genesis sedan with the artistic ability of Courtney Mason and the show-car experience of Shawn Williams created a ‘dream team’ for SEMA,†Michael Deitz, manager, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America, said in a statement. “Inspired by the creative minds involved in the project, we decided to showcase the final design of the vehicle live on the showroom floor to involve the SEMA crowd in the experience.â€
Make sure to check back for live images of the project beginning November 3rd.
