Hyundai today announced it would extend its ten year warranty program through 2010. Since the 1999 model year, every new vehicle sold by the company in the U.S. has been backed by “The Hyundai Advantage,” covering more than 2.75 million vehicles to date.
“Ten-year warranty coverage is only possible because of the extremely high quality standards Hyundai has achieved, and we’re excited to offer new Hyundai owners this benefit for at least the next four years,” said Steve Wilhite, chief operating office, Hyundai Motor America.
The plan includes a 10-year, 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper protection, seven-year, unlimited mileage anti-perforation coverage and 24-hour roadside assistance coverage at no extra charge for five years (no mileage limit), which includes emergency towing, lockout service and limited coverage for trip-interruption expenses.
