Most vehicles get incrementally more expensive as the model years roll on, but Hyundai will be reversing that trend with its 2010 Elantra Touring. In fact, Hyundai will be knocking off a significant $1,800 from the base price of the Elantra Touring for the 2010 model year.
The 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring – which is only available in one trim level – lists from $18,520. However, Hyundai will be breaking the Elantra Touring line into three trim levels for the 2010 model year, with the most moderately priced version listing from $16,715.
For that price of entry, you can take home the 2010 Elantra Touring GLS five-speed model. Adding a four-speed automatic bumps the GLS’ price by $1,200, totaling $17,915. Standard GLS features include electronic stability control, four-wheel disc brakes and an XM Satellite radio with USB and iPod connectivity.
For 2010, the SE model will be the top billing in the Elantra Touring lineup. The 2010 SE model can be had with a five-speed manual ($18,995) or a four-speed automatic ($19,995). Standard equipment on the SE model will include a power sunroof, heated seats, a leather steering wheel, a B&M shifter (manual model) and 17-inch wheels.
The 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring will hit dealers in the coming weeks.
