Hyundai to unveil two vehicles, new engine innovations at Geneva show

The Geneva Motor Show is right around the corner and Hyundai has released a sneak peak of what to expect at its booth next month. Reveals will include a new HED-5 concept vehicle (pictured), the world premier of the automaker’s Euro-spec Matrix mini MPV as well as a new innovations that can reduce CO2 emissions by 29%.

The HED-5 concept is a six-passenger MPV co-developed with Recaro, Bayer and LG. While details on the new concept remain scarce, Hyundai says the MPV “promises a new level of versatility combined with exceptional fuel economy.”

Continuing with the MPV theme, Hyundai will also take the wraps off of its 2008 Matrix (no relation to the U.S. Toyota Matrix). The mini MPV will feature a newly styled exterior and interior changes to bring it in line with other Hyundai vehicles.

The Korean automaker will also debut new innovations that can reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 29% and also increase fuel economy. Hyundai says the new package of innovations is based on current technologies and will not decrease performance or driving excitement. Although Hyundai failed to mention which powerplant the package will be featured on, it did call the innovations “near production” — indicating they could be included on road-going Hyundai vehicles in the near future.

V2, eh, too bad you’re so ignorant, Hyundai will get along just fine without you so as much as you hate them, you not liking them will not put a damper on them.

BUT with that said this looks like the XC60 from the back, vertical taillights are a Volvo thing.
