KTM may be preparing to launch a new family of vehicles, but its bread and butter four-wheeler is still the X-Bow. And as if the X-Bow wasn’t already enough of a track day favorite, KTM is developing an even more powerful – and streetable – version of the X-Bow.
According to Autocar, the high-performance version of the X-Bow will use a modified version of Audi ’s 2.0L FSI engine – a powerplant that makes 261 horsepower under the hood of the S3.

Perhaps even bigger news than the bump in horsepower – a phrase we don’t use often – is that the new version of the X-Bow will have the option of a full-size windshield and removable roof. Although these two additions won’t make the X-Box a luxury cruiser, it should help the track star seem a little bit more at home on public roads.

The new version of the X-Bow is expected to bow at March’s Geneva Motor Show.
