Infiniti on Thursday announced 2006 model year pricing on the Infiniti FX crossover SUV. For the 2006 model year, the FX receives an exterior facelift with new grille, bumper, wheel design and three new colors. The Infiniti FX35 ($37,800) comes standard with a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, 5-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and Downshift Rev Matching. The FX45 ($49,750) has been enhanced for 2006, with horsepower increased to 320 from 315 and torque increased to 335 ft-lb from 329 ft-lb. In addition, all 2006 FX models add standard features, including a 300-watt Bose audio system, RearView Monitor, Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) and more. There is also greater differentiation this year between the FX35 and FX45 models.

The FX35 includes previously optional equipment as standard for 2006 — including leather seating, heated front seats, driver seat memory, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, heated outside mirrors, 7.0-inch color information display and new electroluminescent gauges.
The 2006 FX35 is available in two models — the FX35 RWD, with rear-wheel drive and a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $37,800; and the FX35 AWD, with an intelligent all-wheel drive system and an MSRP of $39,300.

The Infiniti FX45 also features significant content enhancements in addition to the added FX35 standard features — including sport-tuned suspension, aluminum roof rails, sunroof, Intelligent Key and Bluetooth(R) Hands Free Phone System. The FX45, with a standard 320-horsepower 4.5-liter V8 engine, new Super Wide 5-speed Automatic Transmission with Manual Shift Mode and all-wheel drive, has a MSRP of $49,750.
The FX45 also gains a new Super Wide 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching.
The three new exterior colors for 2006 are Autumn Copper, Liquid Platinum and Serengeti Sand. A new Espresso/Black interior combination is available on the FX45 and a Wheat interior color is offered on all FX models. The FX45 also offers an aluminum/Rosewood trim.
Newly available optional equipment includes Run Flat tires and satellite radio with body color antenna. Carryover options include the Mobile Entertainment System and the navigation system (now offered as a stand-alone option) and Infiniti Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system (part of the Technology Package).
