Infiniti prices 2009 G37 sedan, coupe

10/21/2008, 10:59 AM

By Andrew Ganz

Infiniti has released pricing for the 2009 G37 coupe and the new-for-2009 G37 sedan, both of which go on sale November 5. The sedan sees an increase from $31,600 to $33,250, which helps cover the cost of the new seven-speed automatic transmission and the increased output engine. The coupe will start at $35,900.

Adding Infiniti’s all-wheel-drive system to the coupe (making it a G37x) bumps the price of entry to $38,700.

We recently had the opportunity to sample the entire line of G37s before pricing had been officially announced.

edgeuy, the 370Z is rumored to start at around $29K. I honestly can’t remember where I read that exactly though.

Anyone who buys a Maxima over a G37 sedan needs to be taken out behind the barn and flogged with one of the rubber bands from their CVT.

To date I have seen one new Maxima on the road, and it was white. It is terrible.

Not Acura-terrible (worst of the worst), but very bad none-the-less. I also prefer the sportier look of the prior G-coupe to the new one, but the new G37 is still pretty nice.

When compared with Acura styling…..Maxima is way better…there is even no comparison…. I think the G37 would be a good buy with the 7 speed auto…..26 mpg hwy….

=======>>mayer_ray_nagin: to date ive seen like 900 new Maximas on the road & interstate, and they’re terrific! And i’m drop dead serious when i say this. But acura is making some bad ass cars right now. You can’t throw the entire styling of the new TL off just because of its nose. Seriously speaking if i had the money and was in that particular market, i would buy a Jet black ‘09 TL in a HEARTBEAT and just have the nose painted black after a week.(i could do it myself).

=========>>i am a huge fan of originality in cars. I guess that’s why i love the 997Turbo & GT2 so freakin much.
