Great looking chick car.

Front end still sux compared to the old G35, but better looking than any other sporty RWD 'vert out there (yes, better looking than the 335i 'vert, but not the M3 'vert).

This is the car that Infiniti needed to get women into the gen II G coupe, which has been selling at numbers 60% lower than what the Gen I version sold at. Successful professional women past 35 and/ or empty nesters tired of the soccer mom SUV and wanting to arrive at the fashion show or country club in something elegant/ chic that doesn't have a blue and white propeller or three-pointed star on the hood.

After all the point of the G35 coupe was that of Grand Tourer that was sporty. The true sports car alternative was always the 350Z.

For anyone comparing this car to Z4s, Porsche Boxster, Mustang GT etc. they are missing the point of the G37 cabrio, an elegant Grand Touring sporty convertible, not a sports car.

Likely hardtop cabrio competitors: BMW 328i cabrio, VW Eos, and Volvo C70. All these cars have "non-existent" trunk space with top down. For more trunk space buyers can opt for the Audi A5 or MB E cabrios, but they will easily push $60K, with no greater "performance" capabilty.

I am more of a coupe guy, but this looks and sounds like a hot convertible. If I had to choose a convertible, the G37 would be my only choice. Good job Infiniti!

This is not a review, most of it sounds more like ad copy straight from the marketing department. No comments about the non existent trunk space with the top stowed? The lack of legroom in the back seats, even by class standards? The 400 extra pounds will only be noticed by the "most seasoned driver", really? And no top-up photos? Could it be because it doesn't look nearly as good as the coupe with the top up? Please don't post this bunk on LLN, unless its clearly marked as an advertisment.

No performance stats, mpg, or even price. This reads like an Infiniti marketing release. Let us know when you actually drive the car, Leftlane...

This is one of those being launched at the wrong time I guess.... but good job Nissan. I can definitely see this going a long way. car & driver is in bed with the germans for a while now...let them sleep when the competition does better and better. I cant compare the fit and finish to the comparable 3 series. there might be a slight edge in handling to the 3 but who cares this is all around a great product I would say :)
Peace.

Sweet.

Cocojoe: Yeah, they come up shout, but the three/G37 gap is razor-thin. C-Class never turned me on. I don't know how you figure a gussied-up CamCord belongs in this conversation ...

This is a beautiful car, and attention to detail is very impressive, however, when you order the convertible option, add the AWD and the AWS option, and this sleek looking coupe becomes a very heavy car. Even with its amazing 330hp engine, performance will suffer. Don't expect to pull up beside a boxster and smoke him when the light turns green. Its still a fast car, but with all that weight, if you want to race other cars, your going to have to start looking for V6 Accords and Altimas for a good race.
