You have a point Thing2, but the RX-8 can hardly be called a 'sedan'. The first to start the trend was the Mercedes-Benz CLS.

it will be sick. But is it me or didn't Mazda come out with the idea of the four day sport-coupe sedan (RX-8) about 8 years before this?

Base Pricing, I would imagine would look like this (from highest to lowest):

Aston Martin
Porsche
Mercedes

Although, this is all subjective because pricing easily changes based model type, engine used, and other options, which can drive the price of a car of this high, level to astronomical levels (anyone ever seen the Porsche ‘options list’? it’s not a list, it’s a massive book!). The CLS is very cool, but I could easily see Porsche or Aston taking over the high-end part of their customers, mainly those who purchase the AMG models.

Looks to me that its an ultra-low, extra wide, extreemly fast, 4 passenger car. I see it being as low as a Porsche 939. Front engine with a transaxle. Looks slick. No more crossovers please.

I posted this the other day, but nobody responded...

Aston Martin Rapide, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, Porsche Panamera– they’re all the same idea, interpreted differently. But how differently will they be priced? Will they be competetors? Are they supposed to be competetors? I imagine the CLS would be cheapest, Panamera second most expensive, with the Rapide priced pretty high. What do you guys think?
