Ryan Dunn, who climbed to fame starring in MTV’s “Jackass” series, died early Monday morning after his 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 jumped a guard rail in West Goshen, Pennsylvania. The single car crash also claimed the life of Dunn’s still unidentified passenger.
The crash occurred at about 2:30am this morning at Route 322 and Pottstown Pike. According to the official police report, Dunn’s 911 GT3 was in the woods and “fully engulfed in flames” by the time West Goshen Township Police arrived. Speed was cited as a factor in the crash.
It remains to be seen if alcohol was a factor in the crash but Dunn, 34, posted a picture of himself and two other friends drinking on his Twitter account just hours before his death. However, it has not been confirmed that Dunn’s drink contained alcohol.
Dunn rose to stardom following his 2000 debut in MTV’s “Jackass.” The daredevil’s success grew from there, with his resume including three Jackass movies and several TV shows, including routine appearance on “Viva La Bam” and “Bam’s Unholy Union.” Dunn’s latest project, “Proving Ground”, premiered last week on the G4 network.
