Jaguar aims to increase residuals

Jaguar this year plans to reduce the number of used vehicles in the channel in an effort to boost the resale value of its cars, Automotive News said yesterday. Jaguar hopes to accomplish the goal by eliminating its fleet business and reducing the number of leased vehicles. The company stopped selling cars to Enterprise last year and will end sales to Hertz soon. Still, must of Jaguar’s residual value weakness comes from limited product offerings, says Raj Sundaram, president of Automotive Lease Guide. “Jaguar doesn’t have that much to offer,” he said.
