Hahahaha “Now we can get a real Jag with MB parts in it instead of Ford crap! Ha Ha Ha!” The joke will be on who ever buys this **** now that Ford doesn’t own it anymore. I’m betting that Jags won’t even be sold here (USA) in 5 years!

acura, there was no manual with Jags for years even in European market.
Everybody wants to sell off their access inventory of parts. Benz is well aware that gasoline engines are not selling in Europe and will be less desirable in US once diesel motors will become available. I have a feeling disparity in fuel prices will go away but high cost of either gas or diesel fuel will stay with us and will be going up. No manufacturer is looking forward for shutting up facility or re-tooling. Jag is godsend for Benz, but also for anyone else with V8 motor assembly plant.

Planet-drive…. a statement like that makes it pretty clear you either weren’t born or were still in diapers during the era of British Leyland Jags. Those dreadful Ford parts did more good than harm.

Actually, Jaguar quality rivaled the worst in the industry before Ford took over. Volkswagen was worse. (A German company, like Diamler) Electronics were among the big offenders. Quality improved year over year under Ford, until Jaguar rivaled Lexus in customer satisfaction. Now hop back into your Civics with 3″ diameter tailpipes and go annoy your neighbors, losers.

Already TATA is headed in the right direction. Smart move in avoiding future use of ford parts. Most people have avoided buying Jaguars because of the amount of ford parts they had. I strongly believe TATA will turn Jaguar into the great brand it once was, no longer using ford parts is a great start to that.
