Jaguar has launched a new appearance package for XK buyers seeking a “more distinctive” look. The “Exterior Styling Pack,” which debuts in March, mimics design cues already available in kits for the X- and S-Type.
The new XK Exterior Styling Pack consists of a front valance, rear valance, upper and lower mesh grilles in a choice of bright or black finish, sill appliqués as well as new exhaust tailpipe finishers, giving the vehicle an “aura of self-confidence.”
Jaguar Design Director, Ian Callum said: “We have designed a range of accessory products to visually emphasise the stance and presence of the XK. The enhancements we have made for the XK Exterior Styling Pack give the car an even more stylish and purposeful look by deliberately lowering the visual stance of the car and creating exciting new elements that work with the elegant profile of XK.”
The Exterior Styling Package can be retro-fitted to all non-supercharged new XKs from launch.

Looks good and classy. But I wish/hope FORD would not sell off Aston Martin but let it and Jaguar work together. Crack the whip and so on, but not actually telling those two what to do.

I actually don’t like it much, especially the rear bumper. It looks too aftermarket to me. I believe the XK/XKR is a beautiful car left alone. An even mix of aggressive & graceful styling. This makes it look overly aggressive.

I do like the fact that it can be had as factory accessory. Better for warranty and other issues.

They should just concentrate on bringing the price of that cat down.

TOZO,
I’ll have to disagree with you buddy.
Jaguar’s XK is priced at a perfect level it’s category. The BMW 6series, it’s direct competitor, is price substantially higher, even without it’s pricey options.

MC,
They are amazing to drive. The smoothest ride you have hands down. Steering is so light, you can turn the wheel with your pinky finger. Exaust sounds amazing, you hear the V8’s music behind you like a Aston Martin.

They took an already beautiful car and made it even hotter. I love the new exhaust tips. the bigger the better. Does anyone know how much this option is likely to run?

Not true. After discount, a loaded 6 series is at $78K, the XK is $80K+.

^OOps, was thinking of the Convertible, sorry. Just checked the BMW site. BMW 6series coupe =$73,900, Jaguar XK = $75,500. Almost the same. Thanks for clearing that up.

Andre, given the price of the base XK is higher than the 6 series and the reviews have been favorable toward the 6, would you still say the XK is the better bet? I haven’t took the time to test drive both.

Great, more British crap. When are these guys going to just give up? People are buying Corvettes like crazy because people know they are buying a fine crafted, high quality peice. This is just more fodder for the tow truck companies. Junk with a capital J.

I love this site for keeping up with the latest news, but I wish the editor could be a little more selective. This is a press release about a new spoiler for heaven’s sake, is this really news?
