The XF was developed while the brand was still under Ford, so the credit goes to Ford, not Tata. Tata might have brought more publicity to the brands. Perhaps the biggest factor in a new parent company is the potential for the two brands with new financial backings. Let’s face it, Ford did not know what to do with Jaguar. They thought they needed to preserve the old Jaguar shape by keeping some old styling elements like the J gauge, and the general exterior curves, which is not what buyers want. They needed an XF five years ago. Better late than never. Too bad now that the XF is out, Ford is in trouble itself and had to sell.

I owned an X-Type in high school, so I have problem with Jags. But I just don’t see any appeal in the XF. I’ve seen it in person many times and it looks like a cheap Buick. If I wanted a 50k bland luxury sedan I would much rather have an A6.

Nice Jaguar See what happens when you separate from Ford
The XK are nice in dark colors on the exterior but I wasn’t too impressed with the interior cramped and didn’t look as good as in the pics
Still a very nice car and I hope all future Jag’s will have this look. I can’t wait for the coupe
