The $80,000 model is powered by an uprated, almost all-new AJ-series V8 motor. The model receives numerous stylistic and handling-oriented changes as a part of its transformation into an R-series vehicle.
As expected, the XFR sits lower than the XF, and has a subtly more aggressive look. Adding to that look are 20-inch wheels -- covering cross-drilled rotors -- and quad-exhaust outlets, further separating the XFR from the lesser XF. Larger front air intakes and a subtle rear spoiler are also part of the XFR package.
The XFR also sports unique hood-mounted vents to keep airflow at a maximum.
Power for the XFR is provided by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, rated at 510 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque -- rivaling offerings from BMW and Mercedes-Benz. That's enough grunt to get the Cat from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
Jaguar is proud of numerous underhood advancements with the new XFR - and it says that it achieves class-leading fuel economy and low emissions levels.
