Spied: 2009 Jaguar XK Convertible facelift

Spy photographers today spotted Jaguar’s updated XK Convertible ahead of its expected debut at the Paris Motor Show. The updated Xk lineup will go on sale early next year and will feature several styling and mechanical updates to distinguish it from the current car.

Visual changes include a new front bumper with revised air intakes positioned below the headlights, plus a redesigned rear bumper with LED taillights. The changes will appear across the Jaguar line-up.

There will also be a new shark-fin antenna on the coupe’s deck lid. Previous versions featured a power-retractable antenna or rear-spoiler integrated unit.

While the engine line-up will remain relatively unchanged, the new XK / XKR range is likely to benefit from a stiffer suspension setup and recalibrated steering. The interior, meanwhile, will be fitted with Jaguar’s new drive-select transmission interface lifted from the XF sedan.

Jaguars over-all quality is fantastic. As for its standings in the “Luxury” brands, there sales are quite dissapointing. I think it’s soley because of there price tags, and where they stand with there competitors. Definately a fan though

Love the XKE, but have trouble finding the love with these newer models that never quite made it to the same level of visual excitement. 
