The now Tata-owned Jaguar brand has seen a recent sales surge thanks to the all new XF sedan, and it looks as though the British marque has even more in the pipeline to keep the momentum going. Our spy photographers spotted an updated XK testing in Europe just hours ago. The entire XK line is due for an update, although this car in particular is an XKR.
A prototype for Jaguar’s facelifted XK has been spotted testing in the UK – months ahead of its expected debut at the Paris Motor Show. The updated Jag will go on sale early next year and will feature several styling and mechanical updates to distinguish it from the current car.
Visual changes include a new front bumper with revised air intakes positioned below the headlights, plus a redesigned rear bumper with LED taillights. The changes will appear across the Jaguar line-up.
There will also be a new shark-fin antenna on the coupe’s deck lid. Previous versions featured a power-retractable antenna or rear-spoiler integrated unit.
While the engine line-up will remain relatively unchanged, the new XK range is likely to benefit from a stiffer suspension set-up and recalibrated steering. The interior, meanwhile, will be fitted with Jaguar’s new drive-select transmission interface lifted from the XF sedan.

ugly tail-lights…
Looks like they are trying to copy Aston Martin.
The new XKR looks really good, especially in person, but dorky as well.
This car looks like ****, always thought so. Now that new XF sedan or whatever the hell they call it, that isn’t looking too bad. Actually won in a comparison test between MB, BMW, and Lexus in last months C&D I believe.
Glad they got rid of the power antenna, it was chintzy. Wish they’d redo the headlights…they make it look like a Taurus. Love the rest of the car.
You know what I think it is looking back for a second? It looks as if its not to be taken seriously, kinda like what I said, dorky.
Gotta run now. Ta ta!
