The wedding of the century has taken place. Prince Harry and actor Meghan Markle wed today in England, and there were fancy dresses, old traditions, and celebrity guests. We have only one question: what was their getaway car?

The answer, as it turns out, was the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their ceremony at Windsor Castle in an ice blue Jaguar E-Type roadster. This wasn't you typical Jaaag, however. It was the E-Type Zero, a genuine 1968 example converted to electric power by the company itself for Jaguar Land Rover's Tech Fest last September,

With a 295-horsepower electric motor and 40 kWh battery pack that occupies the same space as the original car's 4.2-liter inline-six, the E-Type Zero is described by Jaguar as a "future proof" classic. The modern powertrain weighs 100 pounds less than the internal combustion engine and transmission. The electric motor's instant torque accelerates the car from 0-62 mph in 5.5 seconds, quite a bit quicker than the original.

While the royal newlyweds were simply driving across Windsor estate to get to their reception, the E-Type Zero has a range of about 170 miles should they need it. A conversion from JLR costs about £350,000, but what's $470,000 in a monarchy?
