The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing marked the revival of the iconic 300SL Gullwing with a very modern touch, but the range-topping SLS AMG Roadster eschews the iconic gullwing doors for an open air experience.
Of course, if you are as car crazy as Jay Leno is, driving one on AMG’s Stuttgart, Germany, test track would be the experience of a lifetime – unless of course you were Jay Leno. Naturally, Leno was given an invite to sample this 571 horsepower, 6.3-liter naturally aspirated beast – complete with a film crew for your enjoyment.

While Jay doesn’t particularly get wild with the car (at least not in the video), it is pretty clear from Jay’s commentary and the violent rumble coming from the car’s exhaust that this is a serious, albeit sophisticated supercar of epic proportions.
