The Chrysler Group has begun production of the new 2007 Jeep Compass at its Belvidere (Ill.) Assembly Plant. The plant is also used to build the 2007 Dodge Caliber, and will later be used for the 2007 Jeep Patriot this fall. In April, Chrysler announced a base price of $15,985 for the Jeep Compass .
