Chrysler’s executive vice president for product development says the Jeep Gladiator concept has a better chance of seeing production than many concept vehicles, because it was built on a real platform and component base, according to Automotive News. Meanwhile, the same Chrysler spokesperson said the a convertible version of the Chrysler 300C sedan is unlikely, citing high cost and questionable longevity.

Thank goodness for the Gladiator. I’m sad that the 300C Convertable will not be produced, at least not right now, but I’m overjoyed at the thought of a new Jeep pick-up truck. I will definately be one of the people who gets a Gladiator when they become available (provided the new Challenger isn’t out yet).
