what a turd! complete dissapointment slower the the orignal srt8 and now slower then even the old porsche cayenne turbo. they really failed on this one and I had high hopes being an owner of the orignal

Haha, love it when americans complain about the cost of cars, in Australia we will pay $100k usd for these. Better mark up than a gtr which is what 78k in the us and 190k in australia. Lol. If these were 55k here then the roads would be choked with them! Great car and ill be ordering mine for 100k asap.

I think super fast station wagons are pointless and dumb. I do like minivans though. Very versatile, comfortable vehicles.

I have owned everything under the sun and to be honest the most comfortable and best vehicles that I have ever owned were the minivans.

I like the new Jeeps and the prices are good, but I think super fast SUVs are just pointless and dumb.

There are a lot of vehicles I like that I would not buy. This is one of them.

The reason this will be rare is not too many people are lining up to pay $55k for a Jeep, regardless of how fast it is. Even for me in Metro Detroit the previous SRT8 GC which listed from $43k is rare.

And sure, this thing is fast but in doing so you are sacrificing the 2 main reasons people buy SUV’s, towing and off-road capability. The regular GC tows 7,400lbs, the SRT8 tows 5,000lbs. And the SRT8 is less capable off road than a Subaru Forester.

If having a high performance, 4-door, 5-passenger, AWD vehicle in this price range is what you want, get an S4.

If having massive towing capability, modest off road capability, and maximum cargo/passenger volume in this price range is what you want, get a Q7.

Jeep is too optimistic in the pricing of this beast and it will hurt their sales.

AWESOME!

The idea that this marvel will be a “Rare” sight is truly a joke.

Also, I find it strange why a personwould compliment a vehicle that they”Would not” buy. It must truly be awful to be scared to say you like a vehicle just because it is notfashionable to do so. How very sad & silly too.
I love this vehicle and the previousgeneration and I WOULD buy either andI do not care who does not approve.

who designed the wheels on this thing? i’m clearly in the wrong business. headlights looks too small. copy-cat led strip was slapped on at the last second. does not look like the top-end model. the previous version looks much more agressive…not that i would buy either.

At $55k it’s out of the reach of the ‘average’ guy now. Way too many uber gunboats out there for same coin.

The number of these you’ll actually see on the road will make HS 250h sightings seem like a common occurrence.

I hate the front bumper and that led/fog light strip that looks like it was a last minute thought. Doesn’t look as tough as the first gen.

Real nice vehicle. I see a few a week right now. FAR too expensive but I am sure some Mopards like it. I am not sure how they can justify a $12,000 price increase over the previous generation??

Also, 14.05 is all you managed at the drap strip. That is terrible.

Just we are clear;
- Motor Trend got 4.6 to 60 and 13.3 1/4 from their test.
- Car and Driver got 4.7 to 60 and 13.4 1/4 from their test.
