Rompn 4x:

The only way i'd buy a Jeep would be if i intended real off-roading.
I'd try that in NO OTHER VEHICLE!
these make me confident in my opinion

Hey, not long ago, I saw a Hummer with DIRT on it. I did a double-take, of course

I take back what I said about not being much of a concept. I kinda like the JT. I'll bet if they built it exactly like we see it in these pictures--right down to the plain wheels and knobby tires--with a really torquey four cylinder, a 5-speed manual, and sold it for $15K, it'd sell like hotcakes.

The quote "It's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand" is true. The Jeep (Wrangler variants) are for people who want a true offroader. These are the people who actually offroad and don't mind drenching it in mud. Most people just can't imagine doing that to their precious SUV's on 24's. Im sorry but a Hummer H2 is not a good offroader...Too bulky and WIDE (If you offroad on trails you know what I mean) H2's end up with scratch marks down the sides. Jeep has stayed close to it's roots by still producing a killer offroader and now has more options for the avid hill climber.

All CJs look like something from the 1940s, that's when they were originally built. They were the Hummer of the day. Their styling is updated to match needs and manufacturing technologies of the day but are still largely the same as they have always been. The JT could use some side detailing and does look a bit bland but is still a very neat looking machine.

The more ways Jeep can find to extend the usefulness of the CJ, the more those other small JEEPs can be scrapped.

Sure vehicles take sides.

Many a Hummer has mowed down a crowd of smelly ragheads in the markets of Baghdad. It's hard to blame ALL of that on the drivers, don't you think? LOL!!!!

Your point PrimeGTP? A vehicle takes no sides just as weapons don't it's the people who use them that do.

The JT looks like the Comanche they used to produce. The Ultimate looks like a chance for Jeep to charge an extra $10k for some wheels and chrome.

In terms of off roading, there is no other like Jeep. Have you seen the aftermarket for the Wrangler? A 4Wheel Drive catalog has enough parts to build a complete Wrangler from the ground up, multiple generations. The pretty cool thing is, anyone with an unlimited based Wrangler will most likely be able to purchase the body kit for the JT in the near future. And of course with that, a Chevy small block conversion...

Impressive pictures of the JT in a hole, but surely if you had any stuff in the back of the pickup (without a cover) and did that stunt, it'd all fall out the back and end up in the hole again. Dur! ;)

So many reasons to ditch the Compass and Patriot.

The JT looks so good in Army tan. but the Wrangler is too dolled up for my tastes. Lose the wood. and pick one color for the steering wheel. Too many little bits here and there make the car look fussy.

I don't know that there will be business for the JT. Jeep would be re-entering a fiercely competitive market dominated by Toyota. I wouldn't mind the four-wheeling capabilities but I doubt it will be enough to sell it beyond niche consumers. Of course, people are buying the Patriot and Compass, so I don't know anymore. This is definitely much more Jeep material than those ever will be.

I have to admit, I had never been a huge fan of the Jeep wrangler untill I first layed eyes on a 4 door wrangler with the top down...This is by far one of the coolest vehicles I have ever seen, these concepts, which are surely headed for production only increase my ethusuim for this vehicle.

I'm guessing the Wrangler JT is already a go for production. Anxiously awaiting the James Taylor and Justin Timberlake editions! :)
