Chrysler ’s Mopar division has long been been known as the automaker’s performance arm, but has never produced any products for Chrysler’s Jeep brand. But at the National Automobile Dealers Association meeting in San Fransisco, Chrysler announced that Mopar products will now be available on Jeep models.
According to Automotive News, buyers customize their new vehicles within 90 days of purchase, meaning the Jeep brand was missing out on a lot of potential profit.

The accessories — which are available now — include a special off-road navigation system, chrome grille, heavy-duty bumper with a winch, a carbon fiber dash cover and a 200-watt sound system. Although Mopar does not currently offer a lift kit, one is on the way.

The Jeep brand will also have access to Mopar’s Electronic Accessory System — dubbed EASy — which went online last year. The system helps dealers to work with buyers to customize their vehicles. While the system is only available for dealers now, a public site goes live on March 31st.
