This is the legendary Jeep that started it all. Its unique design and purpose can be traced back decades to the world-famous World War II Willys off-road vehicle.

The modern interpretation has an off-road go-anywhere attitude and open-air driving capability.

Just one capable engine powers the Wrangler, a 3.8-liter 60-degree V6. Its cast-iron construction ensures robust performance and durability. Output is 202 horsepower and 237 pound-feet of torque.

A 140-amp alternator provides ample power for off-road accessories such as lighting, winches and more.

A six-speed manual transmission is standard while a four-speed automatic is optional.

Four-wheel drive comes on all Wranglers, save for the four-door Unlimited models. Depending on the trim line, at play here are Jeep's Command-Trac and Rock-Trac systems. The latter is incredibly capable and is standard on the Rubicon model.

Regardless of transmission, the Wrangler achieves 15 miles per gallon in the city and 19 on the highway.

Named after the challenging trail, the Rubicon model is the most capable of all Wranglers. It features the 4:1 Rock-Trac four-wheel-drive system, a Dana 44 heavy-duty rear axle and 17-inch aluminum wheels with BF Goodrich off-road rubber.

Inside the Rubicon are some luxury features such as a 368-watt seven-speaker Infinity sound system with subwoofer, stain-resistant premium cloth seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and a Sunrider soft-top roof that allows the roof to be partially open like a sunroof.

The MyGIG infotainment system is also available. It includes a navigation system, touch-screen LCD monitor and a 20-gigabyte hard drive for some massive music storage.
