Jeep reveals seven concepts for Moab Easter Safari

The convoy includes the Wagoneer Roadtrip heritage model, throwback Jeepster and several modern off-roaders based on the new Wrangler.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has revealed seven concepts that will be heading to Moab later this month for the Easter Jeep Safari.

Jeep and Mopar collaborate every year on a handful of unique vehicles, some showcasing available factory upgrade parts while others feature deeper modifications.

The Wagoneer Roadtrip stands out among several retro-theme Jeeps, inspired by nostalgic memories of Yellowstone adventures. The original 1965 body has been retained and stretched, matching a period-appropriate interior. A modern chassis rides beneath, however, and the 230 Tornado OHC-6 engine has been swapped out in favor of a 5.7-liter HEMI.

The Jeepster is another throwback model, paying homage to its 1966 namesake. Starting as a new Wrangler Rubicon, the concept features a chopped roof with a raked windshield and white-on-red color scheme.

The 4Speed is focused on off-road capabilities and light overall weight. Designers switched to carbon fiber for the hood, fender flares and rear tub. Shortening the body by 22 inches and removing the rear seats further reduces heft.

Other modern Safari concepts include the Wrangler-based Sandstorm, Nacho and J-Wagon, while the Renegade is represented in the B-ute.
