The Pete Rozelle Trophy was just part of Joe Flacco's prize for being named the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII - in addition to the Tiffany & Co.-commissioned hardware, Baltimore's star quarterback was also handed the keys to an all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
Shortly after the MVP presentation, Flacco was presented with a 2014 Corvette Stingray by Rick Flick, owner of Banner Chevrolet, which is the lone Chevrolet dealer in Orleans Parrish. Due to its location, Banner Chevrolet was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, but is back in business following a multi-million dollar renovation.

"Banner Chevrolet and the entire city of New Orleans have been through so much since the storm, we felt this was a small gesture to bring the comeback story full circle," said Alan Batey, GM vice president of U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing. "With the Super Bowl in his backyard, we couldn't think of a better guy to have the honor of awarding the MVP with his Corvette Stingray."

Although it will probably be a few months before Flacco receives his Corvette, the Stingray will likely be worth the wait. The 2014 Corvette boasts an all-new 6.2L V8 developing 450 horsepower, making sub-4 second 0-60 runs easily within reach. Despite that tire-scorching performance, the 2014 Corvette is expected to return better than 26mpg on the highway.
