I’d say this Laymon guy knows a thing or 2 about Fords eventual future bankruptcy which is why he left.

what is the upside of revealing that list other than a final nose-thumbing? he knows that he’s out the door so what is the value of even giving the interview?

very surprising/disappointing and not the type of info floating aroung that will have each of those 6 guys having to address questions about succession planning rather than cars and business. additionally, it just leads to additional distraction internally which will take employee’s minds off of listening to their current chief and getting the job done.
