After ten hours of hearings cross-examining former Chrysler president and vice chairman Tom Lasorda, a bankruptcy judge is expected to overrule more than 340 objections to approve the sale of the Auburn Hils, Michigan, automaker to a group that includes Fiat, unions and the United States and Canadian governments.
Objections to the sale will be heard today in court, including a group representing the more than 800 dealerships Chrysler has said it is closing.

Should the sale be completed today, it will meet the 30-to-60 day time frame set forth by the White House, which forced Chrysler into Chapter 11 protection. Lawyers for both Chrysler and the objectors have praised Judge Arthur Gonzalez for quickly and efficiently hearing objections and, generally, overruling them. Most analysts agree that any ruling that could slow down the sale will come as a genuine surprise.
