Ahead of its formal debut late next month at the Paris Motor Show, Kia has released a second handful of images of its latest concept car – the POP.

Saving most of the details for its unveiling, Kia did confirm that the POP is an electric city car with a unique three-seat layout. Looking like a twisted bench, the front seat appears to place the passengers at a slight angle for increased roominess.

Measuring under 10 feet from head to toe, the POP is about 10 inches longer than a Smart Fortwo.

“A concept car like the POP could only have come from us,†said Gregory Guillaume, Kia Europe’s chief designer. “Designers very rarely have the opportunity to start from a clean sheet of paper and it’s great to be in a position to operate with such freedom.â€

It’s unclear if the POP’s styling will preview a production city car – but we wouldn’t bet against it.
