Uhh, Chinese auto manufacturers have already cloned a couple of Hyundai/Kia models, and the new Kia designs under Peter Schreyer are pretty nice (i.e. – the VG sedan).

It’s exactly b/c of the past price of gas that automakers such as Hyundai/Kia are focusing on CUVs and not BOF SUVs – plus, this is a redesign of a current model which has long been overdue.

Even w/ the cladding, the Kia Sportage seems to have better lines than the next-gen Hyundai Tuscon.

Signifigant 2009 update? LLN – what are you smoking, because I want some! New front bumper/headlights and rear lights isn’t signifigant. Also, calling the V-6 Sportage “more powerful” is like calling a slug faster than a snail, because they both stink – I drive my mom’s ‘07 and the V-6 isn’t even enough to get it up a hill. I hope this one has got the turbo 4 from the Gnesis Coupe, that would at least make it somewhat OK to live with.
