Kia’s new Venga took center stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Essentially a tamed-down version of the Kia No. 3 concept car that debuted earlier this year in Geneva, the Venga will go up against cars like the Ford Fiesta in Europe, though it won’t likely make it to North America in its current form.
A little bit shorter overall than the Kia Soul – though containing a longer wheelbase – the Venga is a five-passenger tall-wagon hatchback.
The production car will be powered by either a 1.4-liter gasoline engine or a 1.6-liter turbodiesel. Both engines will be offered with manual or automatic transmissions.
As is typical in small European-market cars, the Venga will offer such luxuries as a panoramic moonroof, heated seats and automatic climate control.

2TellUTheTruth, what are you talking about? This looks like a typical ’90s GM interior with some ricer color added. It’s horrible. The brochure pictures are good, but the actual LLN pictures show reality, and reality isn’t as nice. The exterior is just okay, but it’s better looking than many others in this class.
Did they keep the panoramic roof? That would be a plus if they did.
I guess they wanted to call it “Come”, but didn’t think that name would fly, so they translated it to Spanish to fool the Gringos.

I agree with Kid Icarus. Kia should bring this here as the next gen Rio. It is much better looking than the Rio.

It’s an appliance, nothing more and nothing less. Would you guys be arguing this much over a toaster?

I hate my toaster, Johnny. The one we have here at work is much better looking. Mine looks like some space-age birthday cake. This one here has a retro ’50s diner look, but in red and black.

My wife bought some 4 slice monstrosity that takes up half the damn counter. Nobody in our house has ever made 4 slices of toast at once. If yours is a two slice let’s make a trade.

The windows look like someone was trying to save money by not bringing them down a bit. They look about 3/4 of the right size.
Toyota Yaris still the design point in this segment. Neat, tight, easy to upgrade and fit up.

Ford Venga? I guess it’s no coincidence that the C-Max and Venga stories are right next to each other. Are they sharing a design studio, or have we finally come to the point where there is no way to have an original design?

It is either ’cause I like hatches or what, but I really like this machinery. Perhaps ’cause we have no chance of seeing one here, on west side of the the big pond.

Venga = “Come” in spanish. Which can also be associated to cum, by coincidence.
Horrid name.
