Kia ’s new Venga took center stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Essentially a tamed-down version of the Kia No. 3 concept car that debuted earlier this year in Geneva, the Venga will go up against cars like the Ford Fiesta in Europe, though it won’t likely make it to North America in its current form.
A little bit shorter overall than the Kia Soul – though containing a longer wheelbase – the Venga is a five-passenger tall-wagon hatchback.
The production car will be powered by either a 1.4-liter gasoline engine or a 1.6-liter turbodiesel. Both engines will be offered with manual or automatic transmissions.
As is typical in small European-market cars, the Venga will offer such luxuries as a panoramic moonroof, heated seats and automatic climate control.
