Koenigsegg Edition CCXR

Koenigsegg’s CCXR was already one of the most extreme supercars on the planet, but the Swedish automaker decided not to leave well enough alone. Gracing the Koenigsegg in Geneva is the Edition CCXR. Based on the CCXR, the Edition CCXR features a body made completely of carbon fiber and without any paint. The Edition CCXR uses CCXR’s twin-supercharged 5.0L V8 — up from 4.7L and good for an astonishing 1018 horsepower — that can run on E85 biofuel.

The result is a car that can go from 0-62 in 2.9 seconds, hit a top speed of over 250 mph and achieve 1.4g on the skidpad. That kind of performance comes at a price, though, with the Edition CXXR listing for €1,500,000 — a €170,000 premium over the “base” CCXR. The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR will reportedly see a run of six vehicles, with most already spoken for.

This is indeed impressive. Hey I don’t even think they massaged the number if they wanted the HP could probably even double to 2,040 Horsepower. Holy Cow!

I’m sure it would blow away anything available. Hey speaking of which where is that idiot who talks out his ass about a soup up barn-yard-red-necked-hick made vette.

Why not just buy a F1 car? Im sure Scott Speed could find the time to teach you to drive it.

A little behind there leftlane, I new about this car months ago, and you got some of your information wrong, it uses a 4.8 liter, the CCGT uses the 5 liter.

I’ve always liked this car (once Koenigsegg got past the CC8), and I really like the Edition CCXR, but doublearon21’s right, and once again LLN needs to check their copy. When LLN reported on the CCXR, it reported that the CCXR used a 4.7 L twin supercharged V8. The “Edition” has the same output, I think we’re still looking at a 4.7L.

The exposed carbon fiber is awesome (ala Zonda F), but I bet it’s a bitch if you get a stone chip. Hopefully they coat it with something.

Yeah Heart64 it’s still 1 second slower then a twin turbo Lingenfelter Corvette! :)

Anyways on to the actual topic… is that 1,018HP made from pump fuel or from E85? Obviously E85 is going to even improve the power and performance, I’d be curious to see the HP #’s between E85 and pump fuel.

I would BlackX, I would.

But this car is awsome. The base CCXR’s top speed is 250 mph, so this car may even break the ssc aero’s record of 256 mph. Anyways, both of these cars are V8’s, that goes to show that you don’t need a W16 to get you over 250.

Apparently he hates the English language as well, considering every post of his is littered with errors! All you do is spew filth and you look like a complete jackass in the process.

Yeah, this car is pretty nice.

Wait Deanster its not his mom. Its him. LP’s the Cum Guzzler. But on second thought this guy does stand up for Ford cars not sure why? That probably because Ford of Europe is doing very well.

As a for SuperStinkChevy you can’t get a 1 second advantage on another car that’s almost equivalent in HP Output. Now if you told me it was at least 400 to 500 HP more yeah, but the SSC is like 100HP more and that can’t get the job done ok. end of your BS story. Next :)
