Koenigsegg shows crash tests, hammer abuse [Video]
The precious supercars must be put through many of the same destructive tests used to validate mass-market vehicles.
Koenigsegg has released a video showing its rare cars destroyed for crash tests and durability trials.
Carbon-fiber splinters fly during the government-mandated tests including side, frontal, and rear-end impacts. The cars appear to sustain less damage from a sledgehammer, curb jump and gigantic hole in the road.
"Thank you for 1 million followers!" the company wrote on Instagram. "That's SMASHING!"
