A Ford employee who was laid off last week as a part of Ford’s “Way Forward” initiative has put his alarm clock up for sale on online auction site eBay. Understandably, the former employee is feeling a bit cynical. “I no longer have the need for an alarm clock,” he writes. “I run out of money in a few months and need all the financial help I can get!” He also points to his excellent work record at Ford, which, unfortunately, did not stop Ford from cutting his job. “This alarm clock is so reliable that it helped me achieve a Perfect Attendance award for 4 of my 7 years at the company.” There are still 8 days left in the auction, and so far 20 bids have been placed.
