lol i had more to say, but it would’ve killed the humorous effect i was going for with the ‘bamf>usa’ thing.
Anyway, I do agree with you that having a racing tradition like Ferrari’s is something everyone should strive for, as a number of benefits come from of having one. But I also think that Lambos proud tradition of building very fast, very beautiful cars for the sole purpose of competeting with Ferrari in the supercar niche is very respectable as well, especially since they have done a pretty damn good job doing it. And the FACT that they can compete with Ferrari despite the lack of such a deep racing heritage says a lot for them as well.

I agree with #10, he’s got a .
You don’t need a racing team when you are doing such a pretty good job without it.

well, all i’m saying is that if the day comes where i am able to drop 200+ grr on a “supercar” i’d like for it to have a little bit of heritage. that might be nice.
even a one-off like the mclaren f1 can trace its lineage to the mclaren team it draws its name from (despite using a bmw engine). dig?

Racing heritage is good street cred but to say Lambo is inferior than Ferrari because of heritage is pure idiocity!! First off, I do prefer a Ferrari but even though Lambo does not compete in Formula 1, they employ hundreds of engineers, mechanics and designers who have first hand experience in racing. In fact, several head mechanics are previous Ferrari and Mercedes engineers, so the point is, just because a car company doesnt have racing heritage doesn’t mean they produce any less of a “supercar.” When was the last time you’ve been a Pagani Zonda racing? or a Bugatti Veyron? Both would kick a similarly priced Ferrari’s ass left and right.
It comes down to taste, is all.

F1 is my favorite sport, period. but in now way does that mean that i will not give an auto company credit because it doesnt partake. anyone who does that is close minded and relativly shallow, and you shouldnt waste your time debating with them, it is afterall, opinion not fact that a car company is better than another because it races. Lambo does race a Murci GT-R and has had good results. It’s parent company VW ownes this other little company called Audi, maybe you’ve heard of it? and if you’re a race fan, i dont need to get into audi’s history in le mans racing…. so nuf said. here are some interesting facts though.. last year, ferrari rolled 5000+ cars out of the factory in Maranello, how many did lambo produce? 1600, 400 being murci’s. Guess that makes it FACT that lambo is a little more exclusive of a name plate than ferrari. I’ve said it before, Ferrari is the toyota of supercars, and lamborghini is the lamborghini of supercars…
Ferrari’s are for men trying to be somebody, Lamborghini’s are for men who already are.
