Before everyone yaps, lets remember the old Lambo LM’s from back in the day. They really should have continued with this project as long as they were just as outrageous as the old LM’s. Nothing practical, just a rediculous SUV. Look them up.

hmm if they were actually going to follow out on the Miura promise, it would exlpain the shortage of staff and supplies. I say make the Miura a halo car and then make a cheaper entry version from that like a year later and that looks different *NOT CHEAPER* so that the cars are distinguishable from one another.

THANK GOD. I’ve always regarded the last Lamborghini SUV, the ill-fated LM002, as the worst car ever. The new one would be no different.

I’ve said ever since the rumours of a third Lamborghini model that they should bring back the Espada, a 2+2 GT Coupe. Seems it will happen.

aside from the niche brands (aka bugatti, freestream or whatever) Lamborghini proves that a mainstream manufacture can survive on TWO cars… a feat not even ferrari can manage.

Thank goodness they decided against selling out like Porsche. The Cayenne was the biggest disappointment imaginable from a pure sports car manufacturer. I hope the SUV trends die out soon, they do no one any good.

By the looks of that rendering, I am glad that Lamborghini aren’t making a new SUV. Lamborghini should stick to their heritage by making fast, mad, insane snouty supercars, not practical 4×4s.

Audi will have enough trouble shifting Q7s after initial demand is satisfied why try with a Lambo, these things aren’t cash cows any more.

i would love to see the Muira…its a beautiful car. i think it would be killer as an entry level car. at ~$75k for a base model with the 4.2l audi V8 and then a top of the line version with a turbo version. for ~$100,000. keep it under the Garalldo(sp) in performance and price. Ideally if they could price bellow the F430 and get the same performance they would have a sure fire hit. its a beautiful car…it doesnt really matter how fast or how much ppl will buy it

Wickedated– The article doesn’t say anything about a “four door coupe”, it says a “four seater coupe” which is a different thing all together. It would essentially be a 2+2.

By knowing italians a bit, I bet that they said “…neither model can be built with its limited resources and staff” it just for the press. I think when Audi told them to create an SUV based on Q7 ,Lambo probably told them to go to hell

If Lambo made an SUV, they wouldn’t be selling out. They made one before. 455 hp or something like that. They should make an SUV, but make it a limited edition, and not as car-like as most of the sport SUVs. Something like a street-legal heavy Baja racer. That’d be Lambo’s style.
