The new Lamborghini Gallardo is set for its Geneva Motor Show debut in just a few days, but what Lamborghini will actually call the car remains a bit of a mystery. Earlier reports indicated that the Gallardo would be called the LP550 – falling in line with the Murcielago LP640 — but a new reports finds that the car will actually be called the LP560-4.
According to tuningnews.net, 560 represents the cars output — 560 PS, which is about 552 horsepower — and the 4 refers the car’s permanent all-wheel drive system. It remains unclear if the Murcielago will gain a 4 at the end of its nameplate since it too uses all-wheel drive.

As earlier reported, the Gallardo will use a 5.2L V10 rather than the current car’s 5.0L unit.
