Lamborghini to partner with Versace on limited edition Murcielago, accessory line

When most people think of Lamborghini, they think scissor doors, ridiculous performance and just plain over-the-topness. The Italian automaker still has the first two on lock-down, and will look to improve the latter through a deal with Italian designer Versace.

The deal will see Versace designing the interior of a limited edition Murcielago LP640 Roadster, and will also include the design of several Lamborghini accessories – such as gloves, bags and suitcases.

The interior design will revolve around a black and white color scheme, with production being based solely on demand. Because to cars will only be made on demand, there is no word on a total production run, according to Automotive News.

If you don’t have a few hundred thousand bucks lying around, you can still get in on the Versace/Lamborghini co-branded goodness. The accessories are slated to go on sale in Versace and Lamborghini stores in November.

This is not the first time the two Italian companies have worked together. About two years ago, Versace designed the interior of a limited edition Murcielago coupe and also worked on a car that was eventually auctioned off for charity.

They now have an excuse to make you pay more only for a name. After all Lamborghini interior was perfect in both style and quality (Versace can’t use better leather or cloth) so, they’re just squeezing your pocket a lil’ more for a chick name.

Isn’t the Murcielago already pretty limited in the first place? Do we need to make it any more limited?
